The Story of 100% Fair Coffee
Since 2014, we have been roasting coffee in Kostelec nad Labem, Central Bohemia, striving to ensure that it is not only great but also fair. We believe the world should be a place where people can live well. That is why we offer Fairtrade and organic certified coffee, hand-packed by people with disabilities. We roast the beans in various ways, from espresso to filter coffee. We have something for everyone — whether you like it bitter or prefer fruity notes. We always choose the roast level to bring out the best flavors of the beans. Our coffee goes not only to homes but also to businesses, stores, cafés, and other food service establishments. Starting in 2025, more than half will be in returnable containers.
The taste of fair coffee
We process only Fairtrade-certified coffee. Fairtrade enables farmers in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to earn a living through their own work under dignified conditions. Fairtrade coffee is grown in a way that is kind to both people and the planet. We select the best beans from small-scale farmers around the world.

We support fair trade and decent work that’s why our products are Fairtrade certified. We care about our planet: vast majority of our coffees are grown in an organic way. We present the path from producers to consumers as transparent and the shortest possible. And we care about our society: that’s why we are a social enterprise and we give a chance to people who are challenged.

A place for exceptional people
At the FairBio roastery, even those who usually don’t get a chance can find an opportunity. Most of our employees are people with disabilities. Their main task is to fulfill orders, and some also handle administrative work. They are a wonderful addition to the FairBio roastery team and the entire FairBio cooperative.

Coffee and Sustainability
We truly care about our planet. That’s why the vast majority of our coffee is grown organically, which means no chemicals are used and only natural methods are employed. We deliver more than half of our coffee to businesses and households in packaging-free form, and we ensure that our FairBio roastery operates in an environmentally friendly manner according to sustainability principles. Since 2025, we have known the carbon footprint of our beans.
Social enterprise as core business
From the very beginning, our goal has been to uphold the principles of the triple bottom line—social, economic, and environmental: we develop and involve all our employees in the running of the business—both those with disabilities and everyone else. We reinvest at least 51% of our profits into the operation of our roastery, we value local sourcing, and we conduct our business in a way that is kind to our planet.
